T table chart statistics

A t table is a table showing probabilities (areas) under the probability density function of the t distribution for different degrees of freedom.

For each observed value of the $t$ statistic in column one, table entries correspond to the two-sided $p$ -value for the degrees of freedom in the column   Statistical tables: values of the t-distribution. 5, 1.476, 2.015, 2.571, 3.365, 4.032, 4.773, 5.893, 6.869. 6, 1.440, 1.943, 2.447, 3.143, 3.707, 4.317, 5.208, 5.959. t-Distribution Table t. The table entries are the critical values (percentiles) for the distribution. The column headed DF (degrees of freedom) gives the degrees of freedom for the values in that row. The columns are labeled by ``Percent''. ``One-sided'' and ``Two-sided''. Percent is distribution function - the table entry is the corresponding percentile. One-sided is the significance level for the one-sided upper critical value--the table entry is the critical value. T Value A t statistic is a statistic whose values are given by. t = [ x - μ> ] / [ s / sqrt( n ) ] where x is the sample mean, μ is the population mean, s is the standard deviation of the sample, n is the sample size, and t is the t statistic. Step 1: Type your data into Excel, in a single column. For example, if you have ten items in your data set, type them into cells A1 through A10. Step 2: Click the “Data” tab and then click “Data Analysis” in the Analysis group. Step 3: Highlight “Descriptive Statistics” in the pop-up Data Analysis window.

A t statistic is a statistic whose values are given by. t = [ x - μ> ] / [ s / sqrt( n ) ] where x is the sample mean, μ is the population mean, s is the standard deviation of the sample, n is the sample size, and t is the t statistic.

The t- table (for the t- distribution) is different from the Z- table (for the Z -distribution); make sure you understand the values in the first and last rows. Finding probabilities for various t- distributions, using the t- table, is a valuable statistics skill. Use the t- table as necessary to solve the following problems.
